Now at this time we are cleaning so much more often because our houses much more full. You may also find it hard to find cleaners at the store and a quick cleaner for wipe downs. This won't replace your disinfectant sprays - but is a great alternative for daily light cleaning!

The only issue we have with DIY vinegar sprays is your house will smell like fish and chips. So what you want is lemon infused vinegar.

This is all you'll need - and probably things you already have around your home:

  • 1 to 2 cups distilled white vinegar
  • lemons, peel only
  • A few sprigs fresh thyme
  • teaspoon Castile soap
  • 35 drops lemon essential oil (optional)

Now this is really slow living okay, you take the peel of one lemon and add it to a sprig of rosemary and cover with vinegar. Let this mixture sits for 2 weeks and then you strain it. So in a spray bottle you will mix the vinegar with some water and some castile soap. This is a natural DIY cleaner, you can use this on all surfaces except marble.

And because you should have zero waste, you can keep your lemon peels from a recipe you have requiring lemon juice or vice versa. You can also try this with other citrus like lime or orange - whatever you can get your hands on!
